Pastry cream
Ingredients required:
- 2l Milk,
- 500g Sugar,
- 6 Eggs,
- 125g Corn flour,
- 1tsp Vanilla essance,
- 1pinch Cinnamon.
Equipment used:
- Pot,
- Enamel tray,
- Balloon whisk,
- French whisk.
Method for recipe:
- Switch on your1 stove plate on medium to high.
- Put your pot with milk and vanilla essance in, on the plate and bring it to the boil.
- Beat 6 eggs and combine with the sugar. Mix with balloon whisk in beginning and when about half way with pouring the required amount of sugar use the French whisk.
- Pour the hot mixture into the cold mixture.
- Add the pinch of cinnamon.
- Mix constantly while adding the hot mixture into the cold mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into the ready made pastry and bake in the oven (130 degrees Celsius) for about 10 minutes or feel to touch.
Chef's tips:
- Instead of vanilla essence you van use 1tsp vanilla pods.
